You don't need a full squad to get better at soccer. With a set of agility cones and a rebound trainer, you can build a complete solo training session that sharpens your first touch, passing accuracy, and footwork — all in your backyard, driveway, or local park.
1. Cone Weave Dribbling
Set up 6-8 cones in a straight line, about 2 feet apart. Dribble through them using the outside and inside of both feet, keeping your head up. Run it 5-10 times, alternating direction each rep.
2. Rebound Wall Passing
Stand 8-10 feet from your rebound net and fire one-touch passes back and forth. Focus on clean contact and controlling the return with your first touch before sending it back.
3. Cone Box Agility
Arrange 4 cones in a square. Sprint to each corner, touching the cone with your foot before cutting to the next. This builds the change-of-direction speed you need to beat a defender.
4. Rebound Shooting Reps
Move further back from your rebound net (15-20 feet) and take shots at pace. The net fires the ball back, so you can chain together shot after shot without chasing the ball down.
5. Cone-to-Rebound Combo
Dribble through a line of cones, then immediately one-touch pass into the rebound net as you arrive. This combo mimics real match situations where you carry the ball before releasing a pass under pressure.
Run through all five drills back to back for a 20-30 minute session that builds touch, speed, and decision-making — no teammates required. Check out our training gear collection to build your own solo training kit.
